Elixirs, potions, charms

This photo is straight out of the camera (sooc) from a magical moment.

I should have smeared a bit of sap from this tree on my shoulders and hair. 

Had a twice-stabbed ladybug on my jeans Friday. Didn't get a picture, but here is a good link and an earlier photo. Still under the spell of the Dallas Opera's "Carmen" on Sunday, these insects seem to flutter their fans, click castenets, stomp heels, cast spells, choose freedom, and accept their fate.

An iridescent swallowtail flutters like a fan while feeding at Oak Point Nature Preserve.

 This painted lady finds the Gregg's mistflower on my patio a potent attraction
