A chimeless quiet

Sounds were missing today as many residents of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex stayed safe at home. The occasional car made a loud crunch on the ice. Although the wind whistled and howled, something seem off. Finally realized all the windchimes at the condos were coated with ice and as silent as the horn-blower in Dr. Seuss's classic, Bartholomew and the Oobleck.

Late this afternoon I got cabin fever and ventured out to see the tree damage in the condo complex. Saw so many beautiful sights. I'm grateful to Michael at Plano Prairie Garden for the word "grassicle".
